A Quick Hello!

Day 2!

Day 2 was smooth sailing. We had great time with Daddy and later on with Michael and Kathryn.



Elizabeth was great and one of only 2 girls out of 20+ babies in the nursery.

Mommy was on a good road to recovery with wonderful help from nurses and Drs




Weith 3 of our family (2 in college and one serving the Lord on a Mission) not with us) we made sure that we took pictures and skyped as soon as we could to share Elizabeth with them. She is a blessing to us and these siblings that have made such great decisions before her are wonderful examples.


After 3 nights and on day 3 in the hospital, Mommy and baby Elizabeth were cleared to go home. After getting Kathryn from pre-school, Daddy and Kathryn came to the hospital and we all headed home to start enjoying our newest member.

Kathryn's Lullaby

My Mother, Sherrill Christine Ellsworth, used to sing two songs together in a lullaby to us children, as babies. Kathryn has learned them with her little sister coming and sang one of them to her in the hospital.
She took us by surprise and was so proud that her baby sister calmed down afterwards.
We tried to catch it on video the best we could.
It was a very sweet moment.

Meeting Her Brother and Sister

After school for both Kathryn and Michael, the kids came to the hospital to meet their new sister. We had a lot of fun visiting. Michael discovered the touch screen computer that could swing over to me in bed and had some fun playing on that.

Labor and Delivery Fun :)

We went to the hospital on Monday night to check in. Our Dr. was smart to have us go in because the hospital filled up over night with deliveries. We all joked around that we were all REAL UK fans because we worked it out so that our deliveries didn't interfere with the games on the weekend nor with the Final Four coming up.

We began the medicine to induce labor at 2am and slowly worked up to 7am when the water broke and things started to move along. Everything went along relatively well with the tradition of our girls needing a break along the way for about 45 minutes. The nurses were wonderful. We were very impressed with how they all helped us along the way.

In the end with only one push, we had a beautiful 9lb 3oz baby girl to love.
Elizabeth had no problems at all.

What a blessing the process has been for all of us. . .
