Easter in Kentucky

As opposed to Easter in Las Vegas, which did happen for Mark, Lauren and Jonthan :) We had a nice rainy Easter. That Easter Bunny was quick! Mommy didn't even see him run around putting all of the eggs down! So We invited Danielle over and hunted with elbows out! Kathryn got the head start and then the big kids got to jump in. In all of the fun, Miss Elizabeth just napped away. Happy Easter to all of our family and friends!

Kathryn's First School Christmas Program

Kathryn and her schoolmates did a great job singing today!
They knew the songs and the hand movements. I think I counted 6 full songs that the 4 year olds needed to know.





It was a really fun group to watch!

St Michael's Halloween Party

Another fun Fall Day.
The kids had all kinds of fun at their Halloween party. They had bowling, a pumpkin bean bag toss, a music time, tasty marshmallow snack making, picture frame craft and MORE!

All of the kids were very cute!

They marched around and talked about their costumes in the funniest ways. A couple super heroes demonstrated their super powers during music time.

Christmas Eve

Well, it's late and we've enjoyed our family time. We have watched movies, and baked gingerbread cookies tonight. It was so much fun! We had a good laugh throughout. At one point we asked the boys to get Red Hots at the store. They came back with the big red hot candies you see in the middle of the bellies of some of the cookies. Kathryn was in full form. I'll load a couple videos.


















Before bed we also read from Luke II about the Savior's birth. It was a really nice family filled night.

Gingerbread Houses?

This was a fun activity. I saw my sister's blog on their "gingerbread houses" and thought that this would definitely work with all of our big guys and little Kathryn, too. We got A LOT of graham cracker, I made a royal icing and bought some pre-made frostings and LOTS of candy and we just went at it. Mark made a Christmas "Box" to hold his candy. Lauren made a Chick-a-fillet. Jonathan and Michael made very interesting high rises with Michael's hiding a loot of candy. Christian made a skate boarding ramp. Kathryn made a cute little house and Mommy made a castle.
