Christian in December

We've had some great reports from Christian about the ups and downs of serving the Lord in Texas. Most of the reports are really good.

He has a great companion and evidently the people really love him. Who wouldn't?!!

Here are some pictures from this month (December 2010).

Kathryn's First School Christmas Program

Kathryn and her schoolmates did a great job singing today!
They knew the songs and the hand movements. I think I counted 6 full songs that the 4 year olds needed to know.

It was a really fun group to watch!

The FIRST of our Snow Days-December is COLD

ICY Days!!!

This is what happens when big brother has a shovel and little sis LOVES the snow

Kathryn "helped" Michael shovel the driveway and then
Michael covered Kathryn in a snow pile
Michael and Kathryn built the first snowman of the season and then destroyed it
and then got in a snow fight
Lots of Screaming, throwing, laughing and COLD bodies

Recreating the North Pole

While Mommy is very busy making cakes:

Evidently my "helper" decided to recreate the North Pole while I was making a couple cakes tonight. I caught her just short of putting sugar "rain" in her hair as she sang.

At least we were both happy for the needed time frame!

She is a Reindeer Graduate!

So it's no secret that Mommy and Daddy LOVE Kathryn's pre-school at St. Michael's.
Last week was Reindeer School and Kathryn did all kinds of neat stuff some of which was to make this adorable t-shirt, make reindeer food for Christmas Eve and in the end come home with her graduation certificate.
We're very proud parents of this little graduate.

Thanksgiving In Utah

We had a great visit to Utah/Park City for Thanksgiving weekend and an additional couple of days.

We played with
cousins, ate good food, enjoyed some great snow, participated in Iron Chef and played a crazy game together!! So many funny moments and great times with our family.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be together.

The Winter Season is upon Us!

Christian's Annual Santa Visit :)(this one is in Greenville, TX)

Monday, November 15, 2010

We've gotten some great pictures from Christian while he is serving his mission in Texas. The latest are these crazy clouds! He's seen the start of a tornado or two already.

He has this next picture where they are knocking on doors and found the steps but no house :)

And here at the end
is the picture of his first baptism in Texas. They are having a good time and enjoy all of the different people that they are meeting.

Christian has great reports on the food, and the hospitality. He is facing his challenges with faith and is learning along the way

Our Morning out at the Farm

Mark met the guys out at the farm to receive the cow delivery.
They did great and all of the Angus cows seem really happy with their new home.

Kathryn and Mommy showed up a little later to check things out and we all had fun walking the land with the cows.

St Michael's Halloween Party

Another fun Fall Day.
The kids had all kinds of fun at their Halloween party. They had bowling, a pumpkin bean bag toss, a music time, tasty marshmallow snack making, picture frame craft and MORE!

All of the kids were very cute!

They marched around and talked about their costumes in the funniest ways. A couple super heroes demonstrated their super powers during music time.
