We've had some great reports from Christian about the ups and downs of serving the Lord in Texas. Most of the reports are really good. He has a great companion and evidently the people really love him. Who wouldn't?!!
Here are some pictures from this month (December 2010).
Kathryn and her schoolmates did a great job singing today! They knew the songs and the hand movements. I think I counted 6 full songs that the 4 year olds needed to know.
This is what happens when big brother has a shovel and little sis LOVES the snow
Kathryn "helped" Michael shovel the driveway and then Michael covered Kathryn in a snow pile Michael and Kathryn built the first snowman of the season and then destroyed it and then got in a snow fight Lots of Screaming, throwing, laughing and COLD bodies
Evidently my "helper" decided to recreate the North Pole while I was making a couple cakes tonight. I caught her just short of putting sugar "rain" in her hair as she sang. At least we were both happy for the needed time frame!
So it's no secret that Mommy and Daddy LOVE Kathryn's pre-school at St. Michael's. Last week was Reindeer School and Kathryn did all kinds of neat stuff some of which was to make this adorable t-shirt, make reindeer food for Christmas Eve and in the end come home with her graduation certificate. We're very proud parents of this little graduate.
We had a great visit to Utah/Park City for Thanksgiving weekend and an additional couple of days. We played with cousins, ate good food, enjoyed some great snow, participated in Iron Chef and played a crazy game together!!So many funny moments and great times with our family.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be together.
"The “good life” is not a “pleasure hunt.”If we want to be happy we must pursue happiness, not pleasure. The measure of a happy person is his ability to be tough with himself and tender with others.”(David O. McKay, Man May Know for Himself, pg. 246)
