Regionals

Michael and the TCHS Swim Team had Regionals last weekend at EKU. The simmers and divers have done a great job. Here are some pictures of Michael and some of his team. Michael got 2nd Place at Regionals for the 100 Back as a Sophomore!! He went from 8th to 3rd in the 200IM and the two relays that he was on came in 2nd and 3rd and made it to State also. The best part of it is that the boys won, in points, the entire meet!!!

The Good Life

"The “good life” is not a “pleasure hunt.” If we want to be happy we must pursue happiness, not pleasure. The measure of a happy person is his ability to be tough with himself and tender with others.” (David O. McKay, Man May Know for Himself, pg. 246)

What's in a Thought

There are two special gifts we can give our children
One is Roots, The other is Wings

"Our children are our jewels; We have counted well the cost; May their angels ever guard them, and not one soul be lost." Aurelia Rogers

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.Your playing small doesn't help the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do.We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And, as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Nelson Mandella
